You waited until the weather settled for good in order to offer yourself some nice catamaran trips? Well, you are absolutely right. August and its weather forecast (depending on the place of course) promise you nice discoveries closer to the Mediterranean, Atlantic coast and even beyond.
You will have a variety of beautiful destinations in August. These include the Varcoast , CalaGonone in Sardinia, Ciutadella in Menorca, or much further and exotic, the Gili islands in Indonesia.
However, we have chosen to present in more details two exceptional sites to visit, one in French Brittany and the other in Corsica.
In Finistère, the pointe du Raz is so worth the detour and will not fail to impress you from the topof its 72 meters that remarkably dominate the Iroise Sea. You can admire the Sein Island, the Viellie lighthouse and the Plate tourret that is opposite to them. In general, just like the Trépassés Bay, the Breton granite coastlines are so characteristic of the region.
At almost 1300km away, Cala Agulia presents itself as an interesting place as well. This magnificent cove of south-west Corsica is alluring as much by its natural beauty as by its secret aspect. Indeed, only few people know this place for it is difficult to access by land unless you are a determined hiker. Yet, it is wonderful to discover by the sea. Its almost closed configuration makes it a site where water is particularly smooth, inviting and ideal for a catamaran and yatch trip. (Beware of the water depth near the beach, though).
And to avoid wasting your precious time and energy by raising and lowering the spinnaker, you will considerably facilitate the task by using the ATN socks, like the ones available at Spinnaker One.
